Ideas using acetate sheets.
I have used these techniques when focusing on such themes /topics as "Materials and change", "The changing seasons", "line", "texture" and " cards for special occasions".
Tissue tree skeletons.
Mounted on a background – the trees look 3D!

Some examples of tissue tree skeletons.

Name paint colours.
Pour P.V.A. glue into pot, add colour, mix.
Use spoon or syringe to make pattern on acetate [make sure the colours join up at some point.]
Leave to dry. [Could take a week.]
Peel pattern off the acetate, feel.
Hang as mobile or stick on windows.
P.V.A. glue, ball of string, paint, acetate sheets.
Explore glue, ball of string. Cut string.
Add paint to colour glue – explore.
Colour string with coloured glue.
Drop lengths of string onto acetate.
Leave to dry.
Peel off backing and hang as mobile or mount on board to create 3D abstract picture.
I have used large sheets of plastic in place of acetates and we have made huge spiders webs.
